We will have a go pro with and I am going to try and shoot some video on the new camera. Nikon d3200 DSLR.

I’ll shoot you a text Pug when we get up late Friday.

The last day or so has been literally crippling. I have had anxiety and at the end of the day I was exhausted. Its a combo of not fishing for a few weeks, not being out in the boat yet, the cold and snow and my first Excursion. I literally have sweaty palms as I type this. It is going to be a Loooooong ride.

I can’t imagine trying to work…. I am just going on a regular ol’ MN river catfishing trip this weekend and THAT is making it impossible to concentrate! If I was going to my first Excursion, I’d be catatonic!

Ugh…We drove up in a blizzard last Thursday 10hours 12 minutes is what the timer said…not including Pit Stops Talk about white knuckled anxiety drive multiplied by the anticipation at getting my first sturgeon, last time I was that wound up… well maybe I shouldn’t make such a bold reference to cherry poppin

    What an epic trip!

We arrived Friday night to wigwam about 1AM and headed straight for the water.

    We caught 20+ fish from 1AM – 8AM with a couple over 60.

We planned it just right as we slept until roughly 4PM (when the wind started to die down) and launched again, the night bite was the right bite.

Saturday night was epic! We caught over 50 fish and were unhooking 50+’s at the side of the boat. I think we had 6-7 doubles with a 60×24 with a 54 double.

Total for the trip was somewhere over 65 fish.

    Here’s some pics!

You made the right move fishing them at night. Amazing how it clears out after dark. Great, now I am kicking myself for not getting out at night.

What a BLAST, weather was great, big fish everywhere. Only thing missing was BK, and we’ve got you covered for next year, I’ll let you know when we announce the dates
Pic 1 is “Cheese Curd” Billy’s 64″, pic 2 was a 55 and the last is Pug and his nephew out at the gap!
