Well I haven’t managed any monsters yet this year, but since I have a 2 hour break on Tuesdays and Thursdays I’ve been hitting the Minnesota with some luck.

When I was a newbie catfish guy, I decided to try to lip a 7-8lb channel. Now the scar on my thumb reminds me not to do that anymore.

I wasn’t real wild about getting blood poisoning from the stink bait and the treble in his mouth. Great way to spend a long lunch break though!

Personally, I think pound for pound, relative to size, bullheads have the strongest bite.

I work 3 blocks from a blue ribbon trout stream that I drove 1.25 hours to get to at one time.

    Haven’t fished it in a decade. I know…I know… who’s fault is that.

The Kinni is overrated anyway. A normal Class I trout stream has 1,000 fish per mile, but the Kinni has 5,000. What do you think that does to the size of fish on average? I just like to go out for early-season because I can cast a lure in open water.

That’s not that stone cat is it? Looks like you’re holding it out to the camera.

There’s an old saying on IDO, “No measurements, it didn’t happen”. Something like that anyway.

    Nice fish.

Lol … I think Brad’s expression says it all … Us cat guys on boat his boat were disgusted when that ugly hunk of bait stole his cut bait, and Caleb (guy in the back), who is a walleye guy, was way too excited. Well convert him eventually.

When brad hooked into that white tip, he thought he just had a clump of sticks caught on his line … We were sorely disappointed when it turned into a 31″ walleye. Lol

He did immediately hook into a 35×22 channel, so that made up for it
