I don’t spend a ton of time underwater, but seldom have I seen such a mixture of sizes.

There simply is not another camera on the market that can shoot in deep dark water like a Marcum.

No kidding, unless he is 3′ tall. I’d love to hear the measurements on that thing.

Cold is right. Im ready to get some warm weather and really explore the catfishing scene, Im getting geared up now. Do you fish from shore or do you have a boat? Hopefully I can learn from you veteran cat guys.

Made the milk run tour today from Pool 3 to Red Wing’s back channel.

The water temps were in the low 50’s with a stiff wind out of the SE.

I dropped a line in three locations. All shallower water mud flat areas off the main channel. Not a nibble on the Secret Seven, but the Sudden Impact fiber bait picked up one about 2 pounds. Sure felt bigger with the flow.

I hope some of you folks made it out locally this weekend.

Hmmm…as I’m typing this, we just had a nice boom of thunder down here at the resort. Must be one of those isolated thunderstorms.

That’s does it. Spring is here!

A couple from this weekend with Swollen Goat out of the Custom Cat Tracker, the only two we caught. Both came on Sonny’s. Nothing huge, but it is nice to be back on the board. Minnesota River near Mankato/New Ulm:
