As I woke up to a thermometer that read 0, I realized it’s going to be a while yet.

Can’t get my boat into a carry on bag. Believe me I’ve tried!

Since I’ve replace all my flathead reels this fall, I’m waiting for the Team Catfish order to arrive. Spooling on new Tug O War 8 pound test in the Nuclear Yellow. Might have to try them out in the road if it ever gets above zero.

    Cessna 150…

    Fly’s too high to live..
    and
too low to use a chute.

Fever? Is someone paying you to take me up?

Dfresh. I should have a 4 seater up here in Jan or Feb so you can come too. We can even find a lake to go fishin on and land on the ice if snow is not too deep.

I used to go up quite often, I miss them days…170’s 150’s Cub’s….. Just over the tree tops is awesome! I remeber falling asleep in the back seat of a 172 (if I remember right) and my buddy and copilot thought it would be fun to put the aircraft into a stall…..BEEEPPPPPP! I about siht when I heard the stall buzzer, and felt my stomache in my throat…… Good times!

    Ever heard of Lake Edith?

Never been one for just above the tree tops. I like the “three mistakes high” rule.

I was fishing on the Wisconsin River a few years back when all of the sudden a P51 Mustang came flying down the river at tree top level at about 400 mph. It was freaking awesome. The guy waggled his wings at us.

It’s a private lake just South of I-94…pretty much in line with the Lake Elmo Airport.

Zero public access and the land owners harassed a plane that landed on it several years ago. Pretty small and the wind would have to be in the right direction to take off and land.

Just a whimsical thought I had.

side wind okay but never tailwind. just need more runway and airspeed.
