    No crawlers today for Coleycrawler.

We were using cut bait and fathead minnows.

We seemed to have enough action but light bites and missed fish. I’m thinking those saugers were sucking one fathead off at a time.

Best fish of the afternoon was this 8.8 pound channel. Her belly looked like it was ready to pop!!

I think my nose warmer would have match her hat well.

We caught a few channels then dropped down the MarCum camera. After about a half hour of looking around “down under”, I gave her three choices.

    1) Catch some more fish.

    2) Spend the rest of the time looking around on the bottom of the river with the MarCum.

    3) Go in early.

The MarCum won out…and I didn’t have to net another fish all night.

It’s great to see other people get excited about seeing fish underwater.

Nice fish Coley. Glad we didn’t get to see your nose warmer Brian. How’s the water clarity. See anything interesting?

I could have done that all day!
So cool to see the fish down there. Plus just seeing simply what’s really down below… Structure, shells, cute fish, etc.

Question: is there really such thing as a nose warmer? If so that is what I’m going to get for this years elephant gift.

Most important thing I learned on my memorable trip with the BK is that he is… Extremely talented. Oh yes. A talented species Indeed.

    Chirp thank you
Yes. Personally I felt that ALL of what I got to see was interesting. BK EVEN let me hold the camera (maybe reluctantly at first, then I heard him say I was doin a good job )

The water was clarity was only around 3 feet at best. But that didn’t stop us.
    I got to see…
    1.) walleyes
    2.) saugers
    3.) big ol’ sheepsheads
    4.) channels-many
5.) big ol’ flatheads-hangin out at the bottom (way cute via underwater camera, almost as if they had thier own personality) and moved around quite a bit when they knew they were being recorded.
6.) pretty sure a shovel nose sturgeon (way cool)
7.) carp, shad, suckers… (they love the camera)
Saw a flathead waiting to devour its meal.
Alot of unidentified species that swooshed their tails constantly in front of the camera that oooohhh was sweet!

    Thanks again BK.

Sorry. This may have been the longest post on IDO coleycrawler-minnow333 has ever posted.
