Well the total’s are in, thank god for our fishing tracker.

Special thanks goes out to: RyanK, BrianK, Alex (Somnio), Rob (Slabs all day), Dan (TcCat), Luke, Chad, and my son Riley.

Total days fished this sturgeon season = something I don’t want to talk about

Total Sturgeon Caught over 32″ (we only track over 32″) = 287, roughly 7.175 per outing

Total Sturgeon Caught over 50″ = 18, 6.27% of total fish caught

Total Sturgeon Caught over 60″ = 2, .069% of total fish caught

Lowest water temp fished = 55.8

Highest water temp fished = 75.0

Tagged fish caught and reported = 2

1 hour time frame most sturgeon caught = 12:23 PM – 1:23 AM

We made many memorable nights this Sturgeon season. We caught a ton of huge fish and had a great time doing it, however, my most memorable experience was taking my 10 year old son out for his first sturgeon night experience. He was a trooper! He landed 2 sturgeon with this 35″ being the biggest – he needed a little help holding the rod!

Thanks again RyanK for helping get my son out to experience these amazing creatures of the croix – it will be something we will both not soon forget.

    Until next year!

Congratulations Jacob. you had a great season. It must have been really fun helping your son land his first sturgeon. By the way I did the math and it looks like in 45 days you fished 40 times. That’s a lot of fishing.

Good…no wait…GREAT job Jakob. That’s a lot of Sturgeon in one boat. And the best part is you took your son out to get him hooked too. I had to wait until I was 60 something to get more than one little shovel nose in the boat and it was fun for me too. I sure wish I had this fisery when I was that young. He’ll be remembering this year for a long time and I’m sure he’ll have his goals set pretty high for future trips.

Keep on them…at least next year. Hope you get a bigger one then and your son too.

Thanks for all the reports and pic’s this year.

I remember and cherish the time that I could fish like that!

Lowest water temp I caught fish in was 45.
