Launched out of Beanie’s around 1PM yesterday. You know it is going to be tough out there when the lady running the place immediately asks if you’re crazy… Was cold and windy, but very little boat traffic out there,

We ended up with one smaller sturgeon, complete with lamprey. The lamprey is a new life lister for my boat. A couple bonus sheephead, then headed in a little after dark. Saw BK’s rig parked in the lot when we left, but it sounds like he got skunked.

Drove over 94 bridge morning and afternoon and it looked cold and windy. Only saw 2-3 boats each time! There will still be better days coming! I have been out there many times the week before thanksgiving in a light pullover.

BK and I froze our butt off. I did hear about some sturgeon being caught, but we got blanked. Only one nibble that I missed.

It was nice breaking in the ice fishing gear though!

Oh, you were with BK? We should have headed back out looking for you!

Ryan, that b\w picture is friggen cool!

This is the first year I’ve tried sturgeon fishing. I’ve gone the last 2 weekends and sad to say I have still not caught one. Good news is yesterday when we where out my buddy popped his cherry on a smallish 32″ sturgeon. As far as the OP, it was pretty cold and windy yesterday as well, but at least the sun was out for the most part.
