I’ve been avoiding taking my jon boat on the lower st croix but looking at the weather for tomorrow i think I’m going to give it a try. Is anyone willing to share any community spots or just general depths or structure you’ve been fishing? I’ve been fishing sturgeon for 3 seasons up river but looking at the Navionics map of the bayport stillwater area i don’t see anything that looks like what ive been fishing. I will be fishing solo if anyone has the day off and wants to give it a try.

The community spot is near the discharge of the power plant. 30-32 fow is usually where I start. I will typically only anchor when I start seeing fish on my graph.

Another spot is out front of Anderson Bay in 32-34 fow.

If you don’t catch a sturgeon in 30 min or so, move about 100 yds or so and try for another 30.

I have a boat and I’ve caught a few sturgeon in the area. I could meet you at he Boom Site if you want to ride in my boat.

no pm received. Unless I don’t know where to look. I assumed it would go to my e-mail.

Look for a small, flashing envelope near the top of your screen. Or, hit the “my home” link on the menu bar just beneath the top ad banner.
