Any out there know if there are Flatheads above the Taylors Falls dam on the Croix? I have marked a lot of legit spots up there but i dont want to waste my time trying if there isnt any up there. Ive heard there ISNT Flathead up there but how can that be possible? 
I’ve heard the same as you but there are some nice channels swimming around.
Unless they have been illegally introduced, there should be no flatheads about the Taylors Falls Dam. The falls/dam was and is a barrier to their upstream range.

Doesn’t the fire Dept. have an annual catfish contest up there though above the dam? Grew up in the community fishing off those very same bluffs actually but up above I focused on smallies, eyes, and crappies only. She gets pretty shallow north of St. Croix Falls and LOTS of dead heads so travel safe.
