Weekend fun on the Minnesota

    Swollen Goat and I got out on Saturday and Sunday on our favorite stretch of river between Mankato and New Ulm. Saturday was SLOW after the storms rolled through, and I believe we had no bites to show after about 5 hours fishing.

    Sunday was another story. Hot, hot, and HOT out there. WE managed 10 channel cats with two 8.5lbers for myself being the biggest. Mirror image 27″ fish.

    Water is high and fast and lots of crap coming down the river. Most fish taken in about 6FOW near a flooded little island.

    Nope, everything was released. The bigger ones sure had fat stomachs though.

    Eigther thier eating really good or thier full of eggs, nice fish anyways.
