Why is one better than the other?

    Theres 3 rivers within 25 miles of me. One shad is absolutely the go to bait, or chicken livers. The next river is cut bait, chicken liver or small bluegills and the other is leopard frogs. I’m not kidding, you use anything else the catch will be 20 to 1. Its amazing what the catfish in one river wants and just 25 miles away you couldn’t buy a fish with that bait. I’ve always done the best with small alive chubs or large minnows overall. Small live chubs, 1 1/2″ bluegills or large minnows is my first coice when things get tough.

    6 hours of dip bait and all I accomplished was making myself smell like Brian!

    Hah, well, smell like you minus the smell of catfish slime!

    The area I fished all the time last year has produced 0 catfish with over 30 hours this year, and the super secret place two different ppl PMed me!

    Almost considering hanging up the rods till the water temps get back up to 70 o.o

    Last weekend I was out fishing Secret 7 and Sudden Impact.

    All fish came on Secret 7. Not a bite on SI.

    Last night same spot, same set up. Nothing on S7 and all fish came on SI…nothing on S7.

    That’s just screwy.

    6 fish for the evening all between 5 and 7 pounds. What a great night to be on the water!

    Do you ever wonder if it is just a preference thing? Like had you not used SI at all, would those same fish have bitten on the S7? Ah, the wonders of nature.
