Bah! I didn’t bring the poles to work.

You think they might be jumping today with this weather moving in?

Time to get a cheap surf casting rod from FF. This year I make it to the sweet spot.

Weather forecast is 50 degrees next Tuesday. I’ll race you to the best spot.

Congrats, Pier. You get the prize 1st fish of the year from Mill Ruins. As always, I’m a day late and a dollar short. What was the magic bait?

That’s ok Steve. They won’t really start snapping until we hit 50.

    No crappies Pier?

Didn’t target them but I’d assume it’s going to be a while. I have about 6 hours logged in down there now with only the 1 bite using cutbait.

Sure is fun just being out there though!…

It’s all timing down there. I always assume on the first warm day or any unseasonably warm day they (cats not crappie) will be on fire down there. That is not always the case. I’ve also tried timing trips with low pressure. Still haven’t figured out anything. Its almost as if they just cruise around in the pool and sometimes you get lucky and they are there and on the chomp.

I haven’t gotten a response from our dear legislator. I’ll have to see who co authored and oppose the bill, if it hasn’t been tabled or dumped, and send then an email and see if I get any answers.

It’s be interesting to see if they are snapping tonight with 50 degree weather and some run off. I have to wait until the weekend.

Anyone going up tonight? Whose going up this weekend and when?

I can drop by and see how you are doing on my way into work. That’s the best I can do.

If my crew doesn’t get a boat out this weekend, I am going to be down there Sat or Sun.

Why doesn’t somebody start a group on here (I dont think I can) specifically about the barriers on the Ford Dam and Saint Anthony so we can all share information and keep each other updated.

Anyone can start a group. Just go to groups and click on Start Your Own Group.

However, I’m thinking it might be better to start a thread in this forum.

    My two cents.
