To put away the flathead gear.

Unfortunately there’s never time now to get everything ready for next year. I ‘spose that is what winters for.

I cut off all the terminal tackle today and tossed out anything that looked the slightest bit used or worn. The Tug O War line was surprisingly in like new shape including it’s nuclear yellow color.

Loosened up the drags on all the reels.

Once they’re cleaned up (December) I’ll see if any need to go in for service/repair to John’s.

Rods handles need cleaning and sealing again.

I’m happy to say I didn’t have any guides stepped on this year, a new record! LOL! Batteries taken out of all lights/scales that I’m not using.

I think that about wraps it up.

Now…to find a good walleye guide.

You are the best walleye guide I know, you just don’t know it.

If you fancy a Mille Lacs trip this Friday night for the full moon. You can fish in my boat, and then you can teach me how to catch those flatheads someday.

It sucks. White crap on the ground and boredom and questionable roads are all on the horizon. I was thinking about what my favorite thing would be and I think it is June.
