Thanks to all that shared a seat with me and listened to hours and hours of fish stories.

I can say without a doubt I’ve learned something from each and every one of you!

Here’s some of the highlights of the 2011 season…

And an EXTRA LARGE to the person that has supported me for 31 years….

A HUGE thanks to those of you that have shared 6 or so hours of your life with me in my boat this season!

Sorry, you’ll never get that time back!

You must be doing something right Brian, as all of us WANT to spend time with you. I have seriously enjoyed each trip out with you. Next year you need to teach me the secret to getting the Secret 7 to stick to the tubes for longer than 5 minutes.
Here’s to the countdown to spring 6 months and counting

    Thanks for the memories BK

That night out catfishing is one my daughter Laura always brings up when our family is together.

Can you imagine that, she was raised on walleye fishing.

    Thanks Again

While my fishing time was limited, 2011 was a great year for other reasons!!!

    Here’s to a winter hibernation and a great 2012

Hibernation? Jr. looks like he is begging for some ice fishing action. Ok, kids and ice fishing don’t mix. See you at Mill Ruins in spring.

And it was a great year for you. As always, half the fun of fishing with Brian is catching the fish. The other half is giving each other crap when we aren’t catching a fish.

It was a great year for me too. I had more 30 inch plus channel cats than I’ve ever seen before and a 4th place in the KOTC.

    Neither do I.

I’ll still ice fish if it will get me 1 day closer to spring.

When can we expect some ice channel cat reports?

When I started using the Marcum camera to capture cats, gar and walleyes I always had a rod and bait along. Soon I found that I was spending all my time looking at the bottom of the river and never thought about fishing.

Trying to figure out why fish were where they were at and also figuring out why the were not in some areas. Some would say it’s as simple as finding the bait fish. It’s really not that simple.

One angler pointed out the reason there were big eye’s in one area was because the bottom was dark and shallow. This allowed the water temp to rise higher than the other surrounding areas. That sparked my interest in finding more like areas.

Back to your question Ryan. This year, I will be taking my rod along with the camera with the hopes of finding some sumo channel cats in the winter months from the boat.

    The are out there.
    They will bite.

They want their pictures taken! LOL!

I’m happy with the way my year ended. started off terrible but ended up catching more and bigger fish than I had in previous years. got to catch a big blue cat and ended up here. not so bad. hopefully winter will be over soon
