As a friendly reminder, if you capture a sturgeon or cat for that matter that has a yellow tag, please leave the tag in the fish, record the number and the length of the fish and send it into the MN DNR.
They use this info to judge the population and need our help in doing so!
Don’t have a tape measure with you? Cut some fish line as long as the fish and measure it when you get home.
