Thier already at his campsite if this is the same guy I seen last week. His wife was on shore yelling like hell and it sounded like something about the relatives coming over tomorrow to eat dinner, looks like they might be coming over again.
You want to buy a boat? this is pretty similar what I am running now. The only problems are I get wet in any waves on a big lake and I can only get 23 mph with three batteries on board and I can only fish two people at once. It is one tough boat though. I’ve hit stuff that would have totaled a riveted boat and didn’t even scratch it.
I don’t remember the make of this boat but it belongs to a friend in Virginia who made tons of modifications to it and has to be almost the perfect catfishing boat. My brother Dave and I caught a bunch of big blue cats in this boat on the James River this March.
There was a gentleman with the right idea last year or the year before. Where everything could be hosed down and a large removable cutting board off the side for cut baits. Easy trailering, and just the right size for the smaller rivers. If one needed to do pool 3 or 4 for instance I would just call BK if his boat didn’t stink of walleyes.
I was going to say that RB’s SeaArk is about as “perfect” a cat boat as I could dream up in my head. Prop vs OB Jet would be a personal preference, they could do it either way. I would also like the livewell (baitwell) in the stern. Rod storage in the gunnels would be very cool as well.
What I don’t like about most of the Sea Arks is their weight. If you look at some of them, the weight is 1400 pounds. What good is it to have a tunnel hull if when you beach the boat you have absolutely no chance of getting it unstuck by yourself? Or… if you can run it in 6 inches of water but can’t stop there because it drafts 10 inches?

Guess I got lucky then…my tunnel hull 18′ only weighs 600lbs. SeaArk Tunnel 1872
