What are you having the best luck with?

Me? Suckers 8-10 inches seem to out produce the bullheads.

‘course I haven’t used Creek Chubs or the other options.

What about nightcrawlers? And maybe instead of putting a gob of them on your hook, (which you should also try), maybe try fishing it in a worm harness setup like you would for walleyes or bass? I don’t think there is really a fish in the water that would turn down a worm if you put it near the fish, in ideal conditions anyways..

I grew up fishing with chubs and crawlers on the Minnesota with my Dad and we always caught lots of fish.

Anyone having luck finding big chubs? A lot of people I know are only getting small ones.

Ground pig fetus not a problem but where did you get the stripped tube socks?

I’ve been having trouble finding fish with Sonny’s lately, however chubs have been a decent go-to.

Down here suckers are the most popular for live bait and the stinkbait guys are going for secret 7 over other baits almost 2 to 1. Its starting to smell like the back of BK’s truck around here.

    The bullheads, or the cats?
JK, nothing big since early July. I am going to try and bring out a few suckers with this coming weekend and run one or two rods with them just to see if it will make a difference.

I have been using bullys in the 6″ to 8″ range though.

I have a 4 day fishing weekend coming up. I doubt I’ll get your way, but keep me posted. I seldom return txts with company in the boat, but I do get to them sometime in the night/morning.

The MN is under 12′ in Mankato, so we will try them all this weekend and report any results. We actually got a few runs last week so the bite is improving, but that’s not saying much.
