Don’t leave your bug spray at home. Bad plan this time of year. I haven’t needed it yet but apparently this last warm spell really hatched them out. Are there tiger mosquitos up North too?

Josh, the last two nights the skeeters were out in droves…however they were bundled up for the 45 degree weather and couldn’t get close enough to bite us.
We’re having a good white mayfly hatch though.
June 12, 2011 at 5:10 pm #972801I usually don’t have too bad of a problem with them. Last night I put long sleeves on and they were landing on my face. Really aggressive.
If I’d caught any fish, I’d have something else to talk about. The river is high but in the banks here. Moving very swift and it seems like it is wise to fish whatever current break you can find. I think it’s 3+ fps. Lots of grass and leaves stuck on your line.
Oh and I have to poke fun of posts with bad titles
