Have Friday off of work want to get out Thursday night and hit the river up, was thinking about going someplace different, was thinking Ruins but have been there a bunch this year already, any recommendations?

Actually I have only been out a limited amount so far, so the list is short. The nephew got a boat though and I hope to make up for lost time. Not sure if these water levels are safe for relatively inexperienced boaters like us.
Go to the Mississippi…..Under the 494 bridge there is a walking path that follows the river….park at the public access, and head south on the walking path about a 1/4 mile, there is a LARGE culvert that feeds into the river…..some decent Flatheads are caught there!
I must have never walked far enough. I’ve gone down to where the walking path turn inward and there is some timber. I fished it in pretty low water though. Never saw a culvert.
Whoops, just saw it on the map. I should have just stayed on the path. 
I grew up in So St Paul just up the hill from that landing, There are LOTS of little gems in that area (most of which I wont post)….Lets just say Flatheads are not the only fish you may catch at the culvert using a Bullhead!

No the access is under the 494 bridge…off of Hardmen.
