The only place I know of at this time is Everts Ryan.
I have a bait wholesaler that has 10,000 in his pond…but can’t seem to find a dealer that wants them.
I spoke with
Thorne Bros
Joe’s
Blue Ribbon
Vado’s
Gander Mountain
and a couple other locations.
It’s amazing to me that know one wants to corner the bullie bait market…but then again most shops don’t know it’s legal to sell them.
Thanks, Brian. Evert’s is a bit out of my way for fishing the MN river
I thought I had heard that Diamond Lake Hardware bought some of Bob’s tanks and might be getting bullheads.
Being that your in Crystal, what landing do you launch from.
rumor has it that Clark gas station / bait shop at Old Shakopee & 77 (Cedar) in Bloomington
As odd as it sounds check with some ace hardware stores. there is one in coon rapids that sells bait and will order and hold any bait for my that I want. But havent checked bullies….

Why can’t flathead fishing be easier…like walleye fishing?
If it was easy then everybody would be doing it!

yep, the clark gas station on old shakopee has them, $1 a piece.
Really?! That ain’t bad at all!
Need to keep asking for them at shops. I know my nephew said the bait shop by grays bay is considering and I have also heard unconfirmed whispers of others interested.
I doubt Ace (S Mpls) would dedicate a tank to bullies. I think they have 3 or 4 of his tanks. That’s 1 crappie, 1 fathead, 1 shiner/sucker.
Last time I was in Clark’s, the Bullies were almost all in the 2″ to 4″ range and those were 8 a dozen if memory serves me right. I saw only one that was about 7″s and like stated above those were going for a buck a piece.
I know it’s out of the way for the MN guys, but the bullies at Everts are $1.50 each.
You’ll be hard pressed to find one under 6 inches and I was thinking about having two of the larger ones for dinner tonight.

The ace we have used will not dedicate a tank but if you have a special request and pay first they would always order what we need once a week and keep them for me until we made it in to get them.
There’s a bait shop in the strip mall off Glen Road on Hwy 61 in Newport. They might be a good candidate to stock bullies given its proximity to Pool 2. That said, the place seems to be more excited about archery than fishing.
It would be great to get a place on the east side to stock them.

Backwoods archery if I remember right….That would be an AWESOME place for Bullheads!
Great Ryan…..
I did mention to them that bigger bait would sell much better than what they have in stock!
Anyone confirm they are bigger now? Also, anyone have a number? I’d hate to drop in, only to know you greedy beestards bought them all.
Looks like I am going to have to make my nephew go bullhead fishing. Either that or call up Evert’s Delivery.
AKA BrianK
He charges by the mile, but I always make him adhere to the 30 minutes or it is free rule.

I stopped doing that. Insurance was too high after all the accidents trying to drive 60 miles in 30 minutes.

Call me if you need bull info pug..
Thanks!m
I do have spots where I can catch them. Bob didn’t carry bulls at the start of my flathead fishing career. But having Bob spoiled me. I know some guys don’t mind or even enjoy catching bait. I am not one of them!

Meet me in The Cage after school. I’ve had enough of you.
Clarks are definitely bigger now. I’d still like them a bit larger but they are much improved. I’d say 4 to 7″‘s now give or take.
Powderhorn park fishing dockis a sure bet.;) . Plus they stocked Channels in there toooo…
Oh no! Did you just give out a baiting spot on the net? Delete! Delete!
