    Last night I took a bud out for his 1st Sturgeon trip. We started off the evening w/ 3sturg’s in the boat within 10mins. the bite seemed to really die dwn after dark. which is weird cz normally the bite gets better, at least for my boat.

    the bite may have die dwn, due to a boat anchored withing 30yrds of me and pretty much on top of where i was casting 2 of our rods

    Anywho, its a big wide river and the fish roam. so i decided to move to a couple other spots but only managed a channel.

    Not a great outing but not a bad outing either and my buds is now hooked on sturgeons and cats.
    Former BASS guy now converted

    I believe the smiles says it all

    btw, i think i’ve won the smallest sturgeon contest.18″
