Those are great prices. It looks like they want your SSN to get the crawlers across the border.

    Hey Sully!

Yes, that is exactly why! And that is why I gave them Sauger’s number.

i go out and catch my own around this time of the year.. just waiting for a good rainfall! last year i ended up with around 1,000 worms in 2 nights of picking

saves me alot of money with a gander being the only bait shop close.. $3.50 a dozen and a flat was something along the lines of $60- $70 bucks… not for me. i dont use them fast enough to justify spending that and them dying. this way i catch them and if they die im not out any money but what i spent for the bedding!

I pick as well. But pickings are slim right now, and these are for the Excursion. We divide the cost between 9 guys. That cheapens it up pretty good.

Very tough to beat Vados in Blaine. They are th ebest in the business. Not sure if their the cheapest but when i receive their crawlers I remember why I continue to go back. Will pack and ship however you want. http://www.vadosbait.com

Couple questions assuming you are talking about fishing on the canadian side of the RR for the excursion…

    Why Canadian crawlers?

Isn’t it illegal to target sturgeon in Ontario?

Last “rumor” I heard is that it is illegal to target sturgeon in Canada, specifically Ontario. Let me know if I’m off base on this.

that’s a pretty good sale price.. and while the box didn’t have snakes in it.. it was good quality looking worms..

crawlers run funny.. some weeks, small, most times average.. but every now and then.. you get pythons..

Down here as soon as the frost comes out of the ground the crawlers are out. I’ve picked them next to snow. Were supposed to get around an inch and a half of rain all day tomorrow. With a big rain like that maybe you guys are going to see rain too, prime pickins while its raining just walking on the street.

I just picked around a hundred the other morning just after a fresh morning rain. They were everywhere on the streets!

I have always assumed it’s because they are indigenous to Canada (they’re actually an invasive in MN) and so they have the most robust, biggest strongest strains up there.

As for Ontario sturgeon, if you watch the threads about Rainy River sturgeon there are constant warnings being issued about staying on the MN side of the river because, well, it’s illegal to fish for sturgeon in Ontario…

Canadian Crawlers are invasives as well. They probably originated from Europe or Asia the same.

Now if I can get a few 18 inch long crawlers from Bosnia. LOL’s.

Thanks Bob… I didn’t know that. I just knew they weren’t from around here.

    Kinda like most Canadians.
