Did anyone catch okie nuddleing on pbs 2 tonight. I just caught the tail end but plan on taping it when it is back on late tonight.
    Looked like crazy fun.

Mike, I missed it. Ya know? I’ve watched those programs before and they are interesting. I find myself asking myself “would I do it?”

Something about getting in the water, putting your hand in a hole. Then hoping it’s a big fish. But I do like watching…is it on again?

Yes, I saw it again last night. (Was shown about a year ago if I remember correctly)

No way in hell I would do that! Quoting one of the guys interviewed… “I can afford a pole!”

No concept of catch-and-release down there. Them 40 pounders are good eatin’

How fun would it be to stick your hand right into the open mouth of an alligator snapper? Or maybe some water mocasins? Sign me up!

Yea it looks like catch and release was thrown right out the window. How about the guy busting ice to get at them fish? It was also interisting to watch a family gathering of noodlers.
For you guys that missed it I think if you do a search on okie nuddling you will find a site to buy the tape from.
Anyone ever give nuddling a try. Found myself looking at a couple of river banks on the croix last year. Wondering if there was anything in there.
Brian. Thats where that big cat is that you are looking for. All you have to do is stick your arm in there and get him.

    Mike-

If I see your legs sticking outta the water on Pool 2… I’ll be sure to stop by and pull you out.

Looks like good fun that would be fun to try. On the other hand those boys could use a few lessons on selective harvest and catch and release. Makes you wonder what a few good noodlers could do to the flathead population. It also makes me glad that trotlines, jugging, etc. aren’t legal in MN.
