Fished a lower Wisconsin River tournament Saturday with limited success. My son and I ended up with with 5 small channel cats and finished out of the money. We caught the fish on dip bait. Tried some creek chubs for flatheads without success but did manage to land a five and a half pound northern on them. The winning team had 3 fish (only 3 fish could be weighed) that weighed over 18 pounds. All were channels. The winning team caught their fish on chicken liver. We did catch two saugers, one on a crankbait and the other on dip bait. All in all not a bad day. You can’t really be unsuccessful when you spend a day fishing with your son. Brian
