Just wondering if anybody has had any luck fishing for flattys. I spent two nights on the water over the weekend and got skunked. I might hang it up for the year and start chasing walleyes.

I’m hanging it up for the year. Might try jigging a little before the water drops below 50 but thats about it for me. I bet they are still active though with this nice weather. The trick is finding them.

“Down N Dirty Catman”…..I like it! There has been quite a few guys getting both flatheads and channels at the dam the last few days while fishing for walleyes. They’re getting them on plain old fatheads and the occasional crankbait…..go figure. So at least thats “where they’re at”. Not sure if a guy can still target them successfully or not though. Hey Dirk…..how was it the other day when I saw you? Send me a pm if ya want…hint hint!

Theoredically this should be a good time to get flatz, they are in there wintering areas and have to feed sometime. Although the day might be the time when they are the most active cause of warmer day time water temps.
