    Noticed an aweful lot of sunlight in your pictures as of late. Are the fish more active during the day during the fall?

    I’m fishing during the day because thats when I have time basically. The pattern I’m on hasn’t been a numbers game but has put some nice fish in the boat. My flathead fishing usually comes to an end in early Sept. but this year I’m gonna try to get out at least once a week till it slows. They say Sept. is a big fish time. I hope so cause the season will be over before ya know it. Steve, it didnt take too long, maybe 5 minutes…but what fun it was!!

    Nope…but I guess we were fishing too shallow. Mike went to that same spot with his dad and got some. Live and learn.

    Beautiful Flathead Dirk! Thanks for sharing the pics. Scrolling through fish pics sure helps pass the time when a guy can’t get on the water.

    Dirk, since you shared some of the basics with me, I’ve hooked more catfish than I ever imagined…..even while fishing for eye’s!

    I’m guessing 7 to 9 lbs?

    Dirk what is your bait of choice? When you catch them during the day are you right in the middle of the hole in the snag?
