Fished Pool 3 from 3:00 pm to 01:00 am the evening of the 26th. Got one 22″ channel at 5:15 pm and that was it for the night. Got the channel cat on cut bait (bullhead) – nothing touched the live bullheads all night. Water temp was 79 degrees and water is very low, little current. Moved a lot, fished from Miley Run up to Prescott. Found some fishy looking spots with deep water and lots of wood with some current on the shore side of some of the wing dams. There are some good deep scour holes with wood along some of those wing dams and they look like they would hold fish – but I couldn’t coax anything to bite. I even tried chumming with some of my magic chum concotions – I have had no luck with the chum idea and I am about ready to give it up. Beautiful night though and it was great to be out. The Twins won – HooRah! I am going to move back up on the St Croix – I have been catching fish there although they have all been small.
