    I fish the wisconsin river quite a bit and do OK on the flatz. I noticed that your from madison, I’m a madisonian myself. Do you fish the wisconsin at all or do you do most of your cattin on the Miss

    We all must work somewhere. Hang my hat in Madison during the week. Fish the miss from my houseboat in Lynxville at the ends. I grew up fishing the Wisconsin around Boscobel. Catting is much easier on the Mississippi than on the Wisconsin. You need to spend at least a week getting to know the Wisconsin each year. It changes that much. I have heard of some locals that just kill them on the Wisconsin river but I have never had that much luck. Night fishing there can be very dangerous. Only got one last weekend about 7lbs. I think people are noting were I have been fishing. Suddenly there are 3 boats fishing cats were there were oh… none before… go figure… Tight lines KS
