So a buddy and I were out shore fishing the mouth of Rice Creek today. We had some bites and he actually hooked into something pretty big but it threw the hook.

Anyway, a boat went flying by on the Mississippi (pretty dangerous with all the debris in the water) followed shortly by a kayaker. The guy in the kayak had a channel cat layed out on the front of his boat. He said it was still alive but had been ‘hit by the boat’. Is that even possible? Has anyone heard of a fish being hit by a boat?

I looked at the fish and it sure was a channel, about 2 pounds.

We see fish every year here with prop marks in them or ones floating from being hit.

I was in pool 2 one time last year and seen a walleye of about 9 pounds come floating up after a barge just ripped up the shallows with her head dangling off.
