I am planning on a run over to The River (pool 4) next weekend. Any suggestions on where to find some cats? I’ve only fished the river for eyes and bass and am looking to muscle in some bigguns!

yeah the flatheads are hard to find right now. Maybe time to look elsewhere for angling adventure until the weather changes. Went back to my #1 carp spot tonight on the Rum and caught several nice fish in the 7 to 9 pound range. My biggest was just under 11. Put up a heck of a fight. Great action for the rainy conditions. I urge anyone who is having a hard time catching those big cats to give carp fishing a try. Those big bruisers will give you a run for your money. .
September 10, 2001 at 7:01 pm #232756Catdad and myself caught several nice carp and buffalo last week on cut shad, it was a blast. Except catdad got upset since I outfished him. Boy you would think he would be used to that by now
