If any one can help, I have a buddy of mine that wants to come up and set lines for the flatheads this summer. need to know what the regs are and rules for this type of fishing. They are real pumped up about all the big kittys on pool 4 and cant wait to give it a try. any info would be great.

    Thanks

    Kory

Hey Kory, I’ll pm you too….last I checked, set lines aren’t allowed on border waters….but I haven’t checked lately.

That’s all the info I have on that.

    Ok..’nuff pm’s.

Kory, many believe that the kitty’s get large an plentyful in these waters is because setlines, limblines and trotlines are not allowed.

A good read is RB’s post on “Appreciate your fishery”.

Get your friends to sign up on IDA, have them read it…and ask questions. It’s very informative.

yep, actualy my thread should have been titled “Appreciate your regulations” because the “tradition” in my area has devestated the flathead population.
