I recently picked up a Casting 6’6″ MH #20-40 Sturdy Stick at a local pawn shop. I figured for $8, I can’t go wrong even if it doesn’t work out. From the action I think it would make a pretty good flattie rod. Just wish it was a 7′-8′ though.
Wondering if any other Catters has used one before?
    Thanks

More a channel cat rod than a flattie rod but it would do in a pinch.

I have one as a backup and wouldn’t hesitate to use it.
Seems plenty sturdy to me. Cheap too. At 17 bucks I could buy 3 or 4 for the price of my other flathead rods.

That’s what i was thinking too. For $8 bucks not bad for a backup.
