I’ve been searching everywhere for some heavy No Roll sinkers. I was on catfish connection today and found some in their on-line catalog. Anybody that needs some can try this URL: http://catalog.catfishconnection.com/ I bought some 3 oz and 2 oz No Roll sinkers that should hold me in the current pretty well. I’ve been getting hung up alot lately and the standard dipsy sinkers keep rolling into the timber. I’m going to shorten up my leaders to about 6″ and go to No Roll sinkers and see if that helps.

You will notice that they help alot. If anyone has any influence with Do-It molds they should make a 4-5-6 oz. mold also. That would be nice. The shorter leader will help to.

I’ve got the mold, etc. If you want to supply the lead we could make you up a years supply in short order.

ya………some of them weights would be nice to have since they dont roll so bad…………the onyl problem i have had is when the wight does NOT have a swivel mounted in it. Then ya cast it…..yr weight rolls or bounces a little..(or even when ya reel in) then yr line is all i a twisted mess around the eye of the wieght.

i go ta ton of bell sinkers….so i just use them for now…i will run out by august tho.

bell sinkers roll less if you flatten them a little in a vice or just smack them with a hammer . Egg sinkers need a nail through the hole before you smack them.

What are the advantages of these sinkers? I’ve been using bank sinkers in heavy current for a few years and have no complaints. Do no-rolls even work in three way rigging? I’m always looking to improve my rig.

Hey Mudcatkid – Here is one way to avoid the sinker caused line twist. I run my line through a swivel and then tie on a swivel to hook the leader to. I then hang my sinker on the sliding swivel. This prevents that line twist from the sinker you mentioned plus I can switch sinker weights if I want to without retying my rig. Here is a picture of it:
