You may have run across some of these in your Googlings, but I thought I might make them readily available.

Interesting Breeding Info Monogamous relationship forms before spawning and both protect the eggs and young, albeit the female is from a distance.

Good reading, it answers alot of questions for us noviouses (sp) have about them. It tells me why two unmentioned people (audemp knows) couldn’t tell what kind of fish it was that he caught. According to this Marc, it was a nice size male that you caught (darker in color, with a larger head). Thanks for sharing that Pug,

    That’s good!

I had a fella this weekend tell me all about his blue cat he caught in MN.

Just got another Google alert with some more interesting reading material.
Ice Fishing for Flats in Ill.
Stacked like cordwood… I don’t want to start the whole debate on fishing for wintering flatheads. These guys throw them back anyway. It did get me to thinking about an area I know that I am targeting early this spring. A perfect area that breaks a strong current and most likely holds pretty quiet water underneath it. After reading this, I may hit it even earlier than planned. Anyone interested hitting it some time this month, PM me.
