    If it opens up yes it would be around 40 to 70 miles less driving per day.

    I believe Baudette is 13 miles from the mouth.

    Since most call me the biggest bag of hot air they’ve ever seen…I’m guessing by Friday the bay will be open.

    T minus 8 hours to departure.

    Fishing update:

    The largest sturgeon yesterday that I heard of was 63 inches…many 50+ fish were manhandling the IDA’ers up here.
    The river opened up into the bay this morning for the first time.

    All the fishing was done in the river yesterday…

    So far only one broken rod.

    Thanks for the update. Didn’t know if I’d here from you guys until you got back. I can’t wait to see the pictures. I hope someone gets one of record proportions! GL old man (Had to throw one jibe in).
