Pictures coming soon! I didn’t get a real good look a the photos, but it appeared to be a flat over 60 lbs from P4 today.

Check back later for the photo.

Maybe us cat guys need to get Tuffy’s and start fishing plastics….the angler stated he felt the “hit” of the fish…and the fight was on!

James…we are nice in the cat forum…now a days.

Thanks for posting the pic…what was the fellas display name/name??

In looking at that…BEAR! I’m scared to guess! I’m still going with over 60…but likly closer to 65…and it sure wouldn’t take much to convince me of 70…75?? I bet not.

Damn nice fish by anyones measurement! P4 has been cranking out some monsters latly!!!

…now I feel I have to walk down to Dustin’s trailer and inform him the his name sake color of a ringworm caught a mudcat to be envious of! This will be fun!

Are they really doing that? I haven’t been there in about a year. No reason to go.

I think they have a special team that is assigned to stealing pics to try to make their site look like its worth looking at.

Wow! That’s a monster. So he was fishing a plastic for walleye? I keep trying to convince the brother to go walleye fishing on the Miss by showing him all the big ones posted here. Of course, I would be secretly hoping for a flat. He says he doesn’t fish for any walleye he can’t eat. I suppose I should convince him the water is safer past pool 2!

    Is your brother lactating??

I have a sister in law that won’t eat any fish out of the river…including the St Croix. I’m not going to even try to change her mind…even though a rivers flowing…cleaning itself…and the “collection bowls” that she conciders “clean” have the same advisory or worse than the rivers she turns her nose up at.

Personally, I think Dean should post a sign on the fish cleaning house door…All fish are a hazzard to your health, please release them safely back in to the river.

    But that’s just me talking.

LOL! So I’m not the only what that thought that way!
At least I can get along with you guys… or do I??

Anyway, that picture is worth commenting on. Holy Fa Shizzle thats a big girl! Awesome! I think I need to start walleye fishing more.

Hmm, maybe. I am not going to ask him though and find out. That gets filed under, “That’s his business”.

I don’t know why he won’t get out on the Miss and Mn for walleyes. The fishery is obviously strong and there are big fish to be caught. I have always had a theory that rivers hold larger numbers of big fish, especially now that they are getting cleaned up. I think that it is harder for fishermen to harm the ecosystem and really the only real threat is pollution. Next year I may broaden what I fish in the river for.

I am trying to convince my brother that he needs to keep the smaller fish of all species and release the big boys. Now that it is winter, I suppose I will start my selective harvest campaign again. More to come…

WOW!!! That is a monster!! Really makes you want to get out there and catch one, but I think I’ll have to wait till next year to catch my first flat!
