Whisker…what’s the largest channel you pulled out of the lake and on what?

PS Don’t mention the lake…it’s a sleeper!

I was going to put up some pics by my home PC is on a dial-up and I noticed I had already posted the better ones. I decided to delete this post but failed. I never had fewer than 5 fish anytime I tried. We had a 22lb was the biggest and had several others between 18 and 20 only channels on the secret lake. I also was broken off about 10 times where I never saw them. We had one triple and a half dozen doubles. I am only able to fish on Friday and Saturday nights and the weather took half of those away this year. Sonny’s super blood out performed cut bait 10 to 1 this year. I think I went through 6 jars. I had 4 rods broken this year. I moved up to medium heavy rods for the second half of the year and still managed to break one of those. If any catfolks are in the Madison area next year and would like to try the best channel cat fishing in Wisconsin, Send a PM and I would be happy to share my rig and get to know ya.

You broke more rods in one year than I ever have!

Have you fished for them through the ice over there?

I don’t get to the Madison area like I once did…but when I do, I’ll be giving you a notice…(some people call it a warning )

I kind of lucked on to a pattern when walleye fishing with medium gear. 20lb cats tend to have no respect for man or tackle especially walleye gear. I actually had one this year that jumped several times. Never seen that before from a cat.
