Now that the Sturgeon are out of the way…this is a great time to be looking for the fall migration. Wing dams, holes during the daytime.

My water ride is going to be put away soon…but I’m hoping to find a whiskered friend just one more time this year!

In all the excitement over the last weekend.
I almost forgot to mention that Dtro bagged a chunker channel on the croix before the sturgeon turned on.
    There still out there.

YUP! Got a few shore spots in Downtown Minneapolis and Downtown St. Paul that seem to produce till almost November depending on ol’ man weather. I’ll keep you updated.

I might get out once more to chase cats, I havent decided yet. There is a spot I would like to drown a king size shad about now.

This time of year I usually start to chase food… why waste a perfectly good catfish?

My boat won’t get put away for another month or so. Still alot of good fishing yet.

Dang…I don’t know if the FW works Monday or not. If she’s working…yeah…I know a spot or two for some channels and with a little luck…maybe a flat…

I’ll have to get back with you tomorrow.

The only way I get out one more time is if we get an Indian summer. I’ll take low 60s and sunny.

I don’t know, it’s just that I like to enjoy fishing and not deal with that burning sensation you get when the digits thaw. Ok upper 50s, but that is as far as I go!

I think your burning sensation in your digit is from something else…maybe some penicillin would help

Well you ladies have fun out there and I will see you next spring once my “stuff” clears up. I think I got it from handling bass. That’s my story and I am sticking to it.

You are a lightening rod this week pug…and it’s not me shooting to bolts at you!

I’ve got some wingie action I’m going to try to hook up with in the morning.

Couple more fat cats for the photo album….then I’ll settle in for the winter.

That’s ok, I can take it. I have kind of missed people not taking shots at me for some time.

Where’ve you been? I didn’t see you sturgeoning on the Croix?

I never ended up trying for sturgeon. I just have been a little busy this fall I guess. I wasn’t too adventurous I have just gone out a couple times here and there to Blackdog (closest river fishing hole for me). Hopefully I get my project done before ice fishing, a project I hope that people here will get a chance to use. Plus, Tony my normal fishing partner has been absent. I think he doesn’t want me jinxing him anymore . Actually he has no internet access at work anymore, but he was suppose to get it at home.

Good. I’d like to go into detail, but I am not quite there. I have run into issues and it has taken me a while to get as far as I have. When I get close I will let people know.

Pug – does your project involve a box of dynamite?

No, I tried that one and it’s not very satisfying and even hard to get the weight, length and girth of the fish you “catch”.

What a silly question. Doesn’t everything in fishing involve beer?
