We had a beautiful evening on the river with Jake and Ashley, both employees of Sportsmans Warehouse in Woodbury.

Jake allowed Ashley to take the evening off from her “duties” of washing, ironing, cleaning…and just making Jake feel like a king. Jake? You will be paying for my comments tomorrow!

We were fishing with cut sucker, worms and shad (of course the shad came from Moore’s bait and tackle! )

It wasn’t long before Jake landed a big sturgeon…Jake is a real BIG guy…which is why this sturgeon looks so …so….small.

    Ok..that wasn’t a big sturgeon….

I was just trying to make Jake feel better as Ashley kicked his all evening…if fact she caught more fish than him too!

One of my more favorite photos.

The whole shad on a 2/0 Gamakatsu hook seemed to be the best producer.

Most of us married men know this look right off…for you unmarried guys…Jake has the look of innocents and Ashley…well Ashley is giving Jake…the look!

    Nice fish Jake!

The action was steady with a few 20 minute lulls. But the company was fun as we all took turns picking on each other. I was rolling a number of times…

You two are great company fishing or otherwise! We’ll have to do it again sometime!

PS Ashley? I’m still waiting for he punch line… What did the deaf lady say at the concert?

Ashley was hot on the channels tonight! I believe 9 lbs was are largest of the evening. (Although Ashley was calling it 15 lbs before it was returned back to the water. She has the makings of a great fisherperson! )

Ok…last one….the rest of the pics are about the same…

When you stop into Sportsmans Warehouse in Woodbury, say to Jake in the fishing department…He knows were the Ringworms are…And say to Ashley over in customer service, she can tell you how to fish them!

I was kidding Stew! I was telling her about the jello bait…and her nose wrinkled.

    D…we were fishing wet water…why?

The bellys were just stuffed with shad…that one had the biggest belly…well, except for mine…in the boat.

I think her beautiful red fingernails add a nice touch to the fish pictures.

I am thinking a couples fishing tourney might be a good idea next year! As long as dtro doesn’t put on a wig and make up just so he can pair up with LFC for the event!

Jake and Ashley, nice job. Thanks for taking the old man fishing for a few hours. I’m sure the favorite wife appreciates the “alone time”.

Hey Brian are you gonna get Jake to be a registered IDA member? I had the pleasure of meeting him about a week ago. He sold me a new Avid and a new reel. So I think he enjoyed meeting me too. Nice fish Jake and Ashley Now register already!

    Nice fish guys(and gal)!

Sounds like a fun trip. I am going to have to get out for a few more cats (intentionaly) before the temps drop much more.
