It was. It was 1/2 a sucker cut the long way on a 10/0 gami.

Congrats Joe! A 6 pound channel is a great first fish!

Were you bank fishing under a tent?

    Nice Icebreaker Mate!!!
Look out for a case of Channel Fever. I’m sure “Doc” Fisher Dave will keep a close eye on your symptoms. And make recommendations to alleviate any serious symptoms.
    Congrats.

Larry is right. One thing is for sure, I bet it isn’t your last channel cat either. Nice fish and kudos for toughing out the rain.

Yea for the first part of the day we stood in the rain. I had a novel idea I went and bought a 10×10 canopy and brought 36 ft of rope lighting. I sat under that and watched the rod. It worked out perfect.

    I was fishing with Audemp.

Sweet idea mate!!! I’d be willing to bet that the tent sure makes it a lot more tolerable.

Is your thumb in that fishes mouth? Ouch

Great fish. Watch out for the “Catfish Fever”. It seems to be catching on around here I don’t know if there is a medicine for it

Had a great time the other night Joe. To bad it was so slow. We need to get into the boat and I think we will have a little better luck.
