Good Night on the St Croix with Ralph Wiggum

    Ralph Wiggum has turned into a Jedi Knight catfisherman. We caught 7 channels last night on the St Croix and Ralph boated 6 of them with the biggest a jumbo 29″ fish. We had a good drifting breeze early in the night and then the river turned dead calm about 10:30pm. The breeze was out of the northwest and we found fish scattered from the shallow flats to the deeper 30′ drops. Ralph got the first fish at 8:00 pm and we fished until 11:00pm. It was a good time – I’m out again tonight hoping the channel bite stays hot.

    No wonder Ralph didn’t pick up his phone. He was too busy fighting those kitties. And to think I was gonna ask him to go “Bass Fishin”
