That’s a pretty neat looking weight Larry. It doesn’t tangle much and do you have to cast unnderhand or something?

Ron, I’d be happy help you out with those weights Saturday Think about it, team Zych. We could even show off and troll with my Polish Salmo lures I got for my anniversary. We’ll be the boat with the red and white flag and maybe even the Polska eagle!

    Pug,
Cast E’r any way you can. Sometimes the line will wrap a little bit. But Hey…… Your reducing your snags a bit.

Alright, I am giving the GF fair warning then. If you are in, I am in. She should be ok with it since I am in the dog house.

Here is a sinker that reduced my Snag rate by 50%. I need to get some in smaller sizes.
They are called Claw sinkers and are used more in surf fishing but they do keep the wieght from dropping into the rip rap.
My current stock is a little on the heavy side but they worked wonders up under LD#1. They were passed on a good will gift.
I do have a link on line, if your interested send me a PM and I will forward to you.

    Is this a joke?

How could that possibly stand up in any current, even with no current how do know it’s standing up?
Or doesn’t it matter if it’s lying flat…..

    Thanks Pier….

    Actually Pier.

To answer your question, I have it up on the wires in the picture to show the example. When I use them I bent them all the way out and it does not stand up. It falls which ever way it wants to. But rather fall down into a hole in the Rip Rap. It hopefully will catch its self and not wedge in tight and become hopelessly snagged. Does it snag up? Yes……. Does it snag up as much as other types of Weights? Depends on the bottom. But I found when I was snagging up every cast with other types. This one kept a few from hanging up completely.

So when you use it, the legs are stright out to the side or bent up towards the body of the lead?
