Going Cattin

    My buddy and me are going cattin on the 15th up to Red Wing dam. Any pointers on where the bites been best lately. Were planning on fishing 430pm till ? . Yes it’s my first time on this side of the board, he finally convinced me into going and as far as I’m concerned the walleye action on Pepin is either crappy or I’m in a rut.

    Planned on channel cats. Have never catfished the area but know it pretty well from walleye fishing . What about the slack area above the Vermillion on the river itself? I believe its around 14 or 15 feet there. Any details would be great and appreciated.
