I finally stopped and met Dean yesterday. Despite him picking on my truck he is a heck of a nice guy.( Just kidding Dean) He hooked me up with some Sonny’s and off I went. I caught 4 small cats and had about twice as many hits, all were small in the one to three lb range but what a nice night to be on the river. I think next time I am going to try cut bait as well to see if I can’t pick up some bigger fish.
Thanks again Brian for the tips!!!

That one thing nice about P4. We can fish 2 rods and with a freind in the boat…it’s possable to fish cutbait, Sonny’s, worms and a bullhead at the same time…we what’s working and switch all the rods to the hot bait.

Also what times were you fishing??

By the way…did Dean ask you to mow the lawn…by any chance??

No Dean didn’t ask me to mow the lawn, but my wife did. I have a honeydo list today as long as my arm.

I fished from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm

How did you and your wife do?

Nice to meet you and glad you got out fishing. This past weekend was an above average bite in the 7am-11am hours, for channel cats,20 plus fish with 10# being the largest for our guests. They were fishing areas closer to Redwing. And not to sound like a broken record…..stinkbait!Crawlers also worked as well!
