our front porch she askes? OOPS!!!!!!!!! I knew I had forgot to do something Sat. night when I got home. Bullheads get a little stinky after they have baked in the sun for a couple days. I thought she was gonna kill me when I told her that I forgot to clean out the cooler, oh boy was she mad

Maybe somebody has a recipe for flathead stinkbait, you got the main ingredients already, might need to work just a bit more in the sun, leave in the cooler and use it as a dutch oven for stinkbait!

Great idea- let’s keep it on the “down low” though until I find out if it works!

Tony, you broke the Golden Rule! All bait must not go sour at home, especially not within living areas! I am already sizing the garage up for bait tanks. I hope she doesn’t plan on parking in there!

I tried to convince her that bait tanks would really liven up the garage, but she insisted that it would be in my best interest to not put them in

    Speaking of a fine line….

So I wanted to fry up some WI bait fish for lunch today. As I was cleaning out the gutters last night, I asked the favorite wife if she would pull a pack of sunnies out of the freezer.

And she said “sure, anything for you love bucket”. (I made that up.)

So this morning I was going to change the water…and yup!

There’s one package of northerns waiting to pickle…two packs of sunnies (6 in each as I’m the only one that eats fish) and on frozen sucker from LOTWs to be used for cut bait….

Which one do you think was in the frig?

It is a curvy fine line we walk.

All you have to do is start to set up a bait tank in the living room, and she will be more then happy to have it in the garage

That sort of tactic might fly in your house but….

You know, I told her I wanted to set up my 55 gallon tank and put some Mad Toms in it. I told her it would be like keeping baby flatheads. That didn’t even fly.

YO. I have the 20gal in the dining room with some madtoms and a 55 in the basement. The madtoms are cool they hide for a bit but then they turn into little pigs. With that keeping them in the cooler action you will have fatalities. I want a pond outside because it would hold a ton of bait for a real long time but have yet to do it. I can do almost anything with her blessing. She realizes there are a lot worse hobbies for a man to have ya know like drinkin an other women.

My dad and friends, why? What’s up with catfishing- well where else can you go and catch 20-30-40-50lb fish consistently this close to the cities? That’s what it is for me anyway way better chance of catching BIG fish. I don’t eat fish so I’m just out there to catch big fish.

What part of the world are you from? Are you into big fish fishing?
