I have it from a reliable source that our own resident catfishing expert Gocatfish has officially pulled the trigger with his Favorite Girlfriend, and officially moved her to the Favorite Fiance

    Congrats you big stud

And to think, he turned down fishing for an evening to propose

Rumors are floating around the same thing will be happening around here sometime soon… wont be much of a wedding but I expect some type of reception will probably be happening on the river somewhere…

    That’s great you guys. Congrats.

I am just moving in with my FG. I’ll have to see how it affects your fishing before I commit myself.

    Yea it’s true

    We are officially engaged.

This was the most nerve racking thing I have ever done. It was great though. Now I get to fish

Any day now I think the wife might just “pop”. As of yet I think she is holding off just to make me more nervous

I’m not worried about it. I plan to be the one to turn your luck around, but if you hook a fish bigger than mine- you may feel a hard thump on the back of your head and when you wake up I’ll be holding a huge fish for you take a picture of

All joking aside I think it wil be a close contest. There are enough guys that really know what they are doing to make this very interesting.

For those of you who don’t know g3/8 is my Father and I didn’t tell him or my Mom yet about this past weekend’s event’s So I called him to ask a fishing question and he says “so is it true?” and I say “is what true?”, “that you asked her to marry you!” “yes it’s true, why?” I ask-
All he says is you had better call your Mother, she has been reading this all day and she is waiting to hear from you. So I guess the secret is out, SORRY Mom I am never going to live this down.

And yes I called my Mom and she is very excited

Funny, this is almost the way I was originally was going to go with the joke, except it was me pushing you out of the boat!

It’s going to be a long night if I have to keep swimming back to the boat and you have to hold your head in the cooler to keep the swelling down

NO biggie- I was going to break the news at the wedding we are attending this weekend. I figured it would be a cool way to tell my parents I was engaged!

Don’t worry about Farmboy, I should have said something. Anyway Thanks again to all of you and there will be an IDA reception party sometime in the spring.

Is farmboy your brother? I think I recall you saying you had a brother when we were fishing and you two bare a little resemblance in your avatars.

Yes there is a pretty significant reason to having it in September! We met 9 yrs ago at a party, dated for about 2 yrs and then went our seperate ways for 5yrs. Last year on Memorial Day she saw me on the news, tracked me down and we have been back together ever since. Weird part is I had just started to look for her a couple weeks before she saw me on TV. So after we started talking about our past we remembered that we met on September 21st, 1997. I’m gonna sound a little sappy here but, it sounded kind of cute to get married on the day we met ten years later
