Keep it going. The heavy stuff has been East and South East all day, but I see some lines wanting to intensify to the west /southwest.

I drove bye this little pond that is connected to the minnesota near 35W and it must have raised up about 1 or 2 feet since 2 days ago.

Hopefully it means the river is flowing and congregating the baitfish in smaller areas bringing the flats to them.

Now if it could cool off by 10 degrees…

Come on Mark, how could you show the guns to all the passing girls if the weather was not so hot

Just wondering if you guys have a scheduled time for rain dance practice? And if it rains during practice do you go ahead and do the rain dance anyway?

    Hmmm, interesting observation Seinfeld!

Well it has seemed to work. I apologize to the flora, but I hope the earth is dry enough that most of that water makes it into the river and it isn’t absobed like a sponge.

Nope no practice times- I forgot how out of shape I am. It was along wet night, and the best part is it seems to have wroked. I wanted to dance around a fire, but I guess our little dance worked REALLY good. It was pouring out of the sky in Farmington last night. We still need more…….

So far the flow is up slightly from last night at lock and dam #1. I am sure the Minnesota is doing a little better as more rain seemed to have fallen in the valley. Still, it doesn’t appear to have made a huge impact, although more than I was expecting. Maybe that coupled with some cooler temps will get this piggies a little more active and a little more predictable. I wish we could follow up today with a repeat of last night. Here goes nothing.

According to USGS station at Ft Snelling, on the MN river
Water levels rose over a foot. But more interesting the the discharge Cubic foot per second went from 1000 to 4000.
temps dropped approx 4-5 degrees F. Should drop a little more if it air temps drop into the 60s tonight.
Predictions out of Jordan show a potential for a big wash to come down. (predicting the river raise some 5ft at a min.)
I don’t think that it will be that much.
Should make for some ideal conditions for the MN and Miss for the contest this weekend.
    thanks

I feel a lot better going into this weekend. Dave reports the fish were active last night too. I hope it had more to do with the rain than the storms. I like the looks of this graph:

I just hope we got enough to sustain it at a decent level for a while.
