My Bullheads Died!

So bullheads aren’t as tough as I thought… I caught some last Sunday for bait TONIGHT and all but one died on me yesterday. I should have checked them yesterday morning!

I have one mighty bullie left for tonight (the survivor of the fittest, so he’s a good one), but I figure I’ll need at least four. I’m in St. Paul and am planning fish Pool 2 with AlvinMack tonight. Do any of you nearby have a few bullheads you’d be willing to part with for a fair price? Or should I get on my horse and head to a bait shop? Moore’s? Feel free to PM or call me at (651) 253-4818. THANKS!!!!

Oh no. That’s a bummer! We don’t have any right now either. But Moore’s does. He’s open till 6pm tonight.

Sweet. I’m going to make a phone call and (assuming I learn that bullies are in stock) a bait run. Stupid wussie bullheads…

I made a stop over the noon hour at Moore’s and met Bob … what a great buy! He seems very eager to stock the right tackle and equipment for people, and is open to suggestions. I picked up some no rolls and more Gamakatsu 10/0 octopus hooks while I was at it. Great buy, great shop. And the bullheads (not to mention the tackle prices) were downright affordable! Sorry to post this in the catfish forum, but I look forward to seeing him stock more walleye gear!

John, I was going to mention that you really should be happy that it was your bh’s that died…it could have been your rabbit.

Just so long as I can keep his foot! The lively little guys I picked up might be just the ticket over the, uh, 7″ers that croaked on me. Look for a picture of a 50#er to be posted tomorrow, boys and girls!

Hey, is there some kind of tournament coming up? Maybe I should win that before the luck wears off…

P.S. Mike, I thought I told you … no drinking allowed! Maybe we should bring a mini grill, too, and cook up some burgers or something. If we actually catch a fish, that will just sweeten the deal!
