Here is a spot on the Mississippi we tried. Any suggestions as to which area would be best to try? Not from you Pug you were in the boat Or maybe its not a good spot? We had alot of snags in the rocks.

We were in the boat around the timber in about 12ft of water and also had a line in near the timber.

I did mark a couple fish 10ft down when we went over the dam on the 35ft deep side. Both sides are a very steep drop. …

    Nice picture Picasso.

I tried that spot where the wing damn comes up. I fished the deep end and had one run that didn’t seem like a big fish.

How about the spot where we actually caught one? With the water down and what we scouted, I’d choose to head back there a fish it closer to dark. I’d also try up stream a little where that other wood was.

I also hit an area that was shallow and not much current at all. Even the bullheads were stressed from the lack of oxygen, so look to spots with good current…like the spot where we caught one.

Does this mean you are getting out in the boat again?

Those turds on the shoreline in your picture look promising!

Whoah, I didn’t realize how big the picture was until I got into work today. You do know your brother is a web developer, right? Anyone with a dial-up is going to gloss right over this thread. As a matter of fact, many will anyways because not only is the file size big, but the dimensions too!

Edit the post and change the image link to this:

By the way, I wonder how well others have marked flatheads. With their body shape, you’d think they be pretty distinct and easy to spot on a graph. That is if they were off the bottom.
