best time for cats??

    when is the best time to go catfishing???i have go alot lately and haven’t caught anything.just wondering if i am going out to late. i usually statt at 11pm-12am is this to late???

    Best time to go….is when you can!

    In reading the studies done on flats…the best time (most movement) is sunset, secondary would be sunrise and then there is a time around midnight when a large population moves too.
    Channel cats…are a differant story…I think.

    You’re right about channels Brian. I have caught them at any hour during the day. Lately the ‘witching hour’ for channels seems to be right around 8:30-10:00 PM for me. Just about dark, I’d say.

    My theory to a tee. Get out when the getting is good, and don’t worry about the best time. If I waited until optimum conditions, I would never get on the river.
